Basic Principle
Electrolytic hydrogen generating by water is a process of making hydrogen and oxygen by electrolyzing water under the effect of direct current, using a certain concentration of alkaline aqueous solutions (for example, 30% KOH) as electrolyte. The electrode reaction is shown as following:
Cathode: 2H2O + 2e → H2 + 2OH-
Anode: 2OH- - 2e → H2O + 1/2O2
Overall reaction: 2H2O → 2H2 + O2
Hydrogen Production Unit by ectrolysis is composed of main equipment, ancillary equipment and the electric controlled equipment. The electrolyte is electrolyzed into hydrogen and oxygen in electrolytic slot, which is the main equipment. The hydrogen and oxygen flow out separately by pipeline after being separated by hydrogen-oxygen separation equipment, cooled by lye cooling equipment, washed and separated by gas-water separator, respectively. Properties and Application
The device is compact, small and light. And it is assembled by the integrated framework, which is easy to install and maintain. It can satisfy the application requirements of high purity hydrogen with advanced design, high purity of hydrogen production, reliable performance, strong load adaptability, adjustable operation pressure and output, and other advantages.
The device has been applied in the electronic industry as the protective gas or reducing gas of semiconductor production, in the power industry to cool the generator rotor. It could also store solar energy and wind energy in the way of hydrogen, improving the renewable energy efficiency. Besides, the device can be widely used in the metallurgy industry, building materials, chemical industry, meteorology, aerospace and the new energy fields.
